I love to make things, and I love guiding children on their own creative journeys. Children are naturally curious, inventive and resourceful. Make Stuff Studio is a place where children can access and grow these innate abilities. In addition to offering lessons, guidance and support, I provide space for children to explore their individual creativity and to learn from one another.
The Reggio Emilia approach and project-based learning inspire my teaching practice. I have over 10 years of experience working with children in both public and private settings. In addition to being a Maryland certified K-12 art teacher, I have an MFA from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and an MS in Education from Johns Hopkins University. I'm also a mom to two young makers!
"Creativity is revolutionary. It belongs to all of us. It is part of our human endowment.” - Vea Vecchi
